FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
LETTING SOMEONE INTO YOUR SPACE CAN FEEL LIKE A BIG STEP
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by clutter, planning a move or simply want to bring more calm and order to your home you probably have questions—and that’s completely normal.

That’s why I approach every person with respect, compassion, and completely confidentiality. As a professional organiser my goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions about our services. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, please feel free to get in touch. We’re always happy to have a friendly, no-pressure chat.
1. Professional Decluttering: Trust, Privacy & Emotional Support
Should I tidy before you arrive?
No — there is absolutely no need to tidy before I arrive. I offer a completely non-judgmental service, and clutter is expected. You are asking for support because things feel difficult, not because they are already organised.

Will I be forced to throw things away during decluttering?
No. You are always in control of what stays and what goes. I provide guidance, structure, and support, but the final decision about your belongings is always yours.

Is everything confidential?
Yes — completely. Everything I see, hear, or work on in your home is treated with the utmost discretion. Your privacy is always respected.

What if I feel embarrassed about my home?
You do not need to feel embarrassed at all. Many of my clients feel this way, and I understand how easily life events, stress, health challenges, or neurodivergence can impact your home. My work is always judgment-free and focused on helping you move forward.

Do you offer emotional support during decluttering?
Yes. Decluttering can bring up strong emotions, and I provide calm, compassionate, non-judgmental support throughout the process. While this is not therapy, I make space for emotions while helping you take practical steps at a pace that feels right for you.

Will you help me stay organised after decluttering?
Yes. Creating sustainable systems is a key part of my work as a professional organiser. I focus on practical solutions that are easy to maintain and suited to how you live, rather than perfection or rigid rules.

Do you offer follow-up or maintenance organising sessions?
Yes. Follow-up sessions are available if you would like ongoing support, seasonal resets, or help maintaining order after a larger decluttering project or house move.

What if clutter builds up again after decluttering?
This is very common and nothing to be ashamed of. Life changes, and systems sometimes need adjusting. You can always return for additional support, without judgment, to refresh your space and get things back on track.

2. About Me: Experience, Training & Specialist Support
What training and experience do you have?
I am a trained Project Manager with over 10 years of experience and have completed professional organiser training since founding KE Lifestyle Management Services Limited in 2021. I have specialist experience supporting clients affected by hoarding behaviours, bereavement, chronic disorganisation, and neurodivergence, allowing me to tailor my approach sensitively to each client.

Are you affiliated with professional decluttering organisations?
Yes. I am a proud member of APDO (Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers), the UK’s professional body for organisers. This means I work to a Code of Ethics and commit to ongoing professional development.

Can you help with hoarding tendencies?
Yes. I offer compassionate, respectful support for clients affected by hoarding behaviours. Progress is always made at your pace, with no pressure to let go of anything you are not ready to part with.

Do you provide ADHD-friendly organising services?
Absolutely. I adapt my approach for clients with ADHD, autism, and other neurodivergent needs. This may include shorter sessions, visual systems, simplified processes, extra structure, or flexibility — whatever works best for you.

Do you provide house move support for elderly clients or those with mobility issues?
Yes. I regularly support older clients and those with mobility or health challenges, including downsizing or moving into assisted living. Every move is approached with patience, care, and respect.

What types of spaces can you help declutter and organise?
I can help with any space in your home — from a single drawer or wardrobe to whole-house decluttering projects. This includes kitchens, bedrooms, paperwork, garages, lofts, storage units, and home offices.

Do you provide house move organisation services?
Yes. I offer support before, during, and after your move, including decluttering, packing, unpacking, and organising your new home so it works for you from day one.

What exactly do home move support services include?
Home move support can include pre-move decluttering, packing, move-day coordination, unpacking, and setting up your new home. Services are flexible and tailored to your needs and timeline.

Can you help unpack and set up my new home?
Yes. I can help you unpack, organise cupboards and wardrobes, and set up practical systems so your new home feels calm, functional, and settled quickly.

4. Booking Professional Decluttering Services
What areas do you cover for home decluttering services?
I am based in South West Oxfordshire and work across Oxfordshire, surrounding counties, and parts of London. If you are unsure whether I cover your area, please get in touch.

How long is a typical decluttering session?
Sessions usually last between 4–8 hours, depending on the task and your preferences. Session length and frequency can always be adapted to suit your energy and capacity.

How much do your professional decluttering services cost?
Prices vary depending on the type and length of service. After an initial consultation, I provide a clear, tailored quote with no obligation to proceed.

How do you get started with your services?
Simply get in touch to arrange a free consultation. We will talk through your situation, goals, and how I can support you.

What should you expect during your first organising session?
Your first session usually includes a walk-through of your space, a conversation about your goals, and gently getting started. There is no need to prepare or tidy beforehand.

5. Working With Family Members, Therapists & Third Parties
What if you are looking for decluttering help on behalf of someone else?
This is very common. To move forward, the person receiving support must be aware of and agree to the service. Their consent is essential to ensure trust and a positive experience.

Can your organising services work alongside therapists or support workers?
Yes. I am happy to work alongside therapists, social workers, or other support professionals to ensure consistency and emotional safety for the client.

Can families or partners receive organising services together?
Yes. I work with couples, families, and housemates (with consent) to create organising systems that work for everyone and support positive communication around clutter.

6. Practicalities, Safety & Boundaries
Do you work alone or with a team?
I usually work one-to-one with clients so you receive consistent, personalised support from a professional organiser you can trust. For larger home decluttering projects or house move support, I may bring in additional support if appropriate, which will always be discussed and agreed in advance.

Are you insured as a professional organiser?
Yes. I hold full public liability and professional indemnity insurance, giving you peace of mind when I am working in your home or handling your belongings as part of professional decluttering or home move support services.

Can you work in my home if I’m not there?
Yes, this can be arranged once trust has been established and a clear plan is agreed. Some clients prefer to be present, while others find it helpful for organising or unpacking work to happen independently. Your comfort and preferences always come first.

7. Accessibility, Energy & Capacity
What if I have limited energy, health challenges, or mobility issues?
My professional organising services are always adapted to suit your physical and emotional capacity. We work at a pace that feels manageable, with regular breaks if needed. The aim is to support you, not exhaust you.

Can decluttering sessions be shorter or spread out over time?
Yes. Sessions can be shorter, less frequent, or spaced out depending on what works best for you. Many clients benefit from gradual progress, especially when managing neurodivergence, chronic illness, or overwhelm
.
What if I need flexibility or frequent breaks during sessions?
That is absolutely fine. Flexibility is built into my approach, and sessions are shaped around how you feel on the day. This is especially important for ADHD-friendly organising and support during stressful life transitions.
